Digital asset marketplaceTurn an asset library into a storefront with two purchase paths
For a brand, publisher, or catalog owner building a business around digital assets. We structure the library in Shopify, design discovery and product pages, and present single purchase or plan selection. Entitlements, delivery, and refunds are scoped separately.
This is worth mapping when…
You own a library, not yet a marketplace
Assets sit in folders and lists without coherent navigation, collections, or product pages.
You need two access models
Some products sell individually while a selected part of the library belongs in a plan.
Licensing and commerce need one language
Content, product, e-commerce, and finance need one product, price, and eligibility model.
From repeated handoffs to visible states.
Today
- 01Collection
Photos, mockups, templates, presets, LUTs, and textures arrive in folders or separate lists.
- 02Description
Titles, imagery, prices, and licenses are added in batches without one shared model.
- 03Publishing
Items enter a flat list, so visitors must know the name or browse manually.
- 04Access
Single purchase and plan access remain separate ideas with exceptions handled by hand.
Target workflow
- 01
The library receives asset types, categories, and collections that become storefront navigation.
- 02
Visitors use collections and search to reach a specific asset.
- 03
A responsive product page presents the file, use, price, and terms in a buying context.
- 04
The visitor selects a single purchase or a plan when the asset meets explicit eligibility rules.
- 05
Shopify runs commerce while the team controls the experience through a custom Liquid storefront.
Each module is defined by a specific job.
Turn files into a library
Categories and collections organize different asset types by intended use.
Help visitors find material
Search and collection paths move from query to product page.
Explain the offer on the PDP
Custom Shopify/Liquid places product content around the buying decision.
Sell individual assets
A buyer can choose a specific product without broader access.
Offer a plan for selected assets
An explicit eligibility rule separates plan assets from single-purchase items.
Evolve a custom experience layer
Responsive Liquid modules shape catalog browsing and presentation.
What changes for the person doing the work.
Inputs, state changes, and exception paths.
Inputs
Asset type, presentation files, title, description, category, collection, price, license, and plan eligibility.
Commerce layer
Shopify is the product and checkout source while Liquid creates the custom responsive storefront.
Exceptions
A non-qualifying asset remains a single purchase. Delivery, refunds, and license enforcement need separate specification.
No target before the baseline.
The pilot compares the same workflow and keeps quality guardrails visible.
Discovery-to-product progression
Sessions opening a product after category, collection, or search use / sessions using those tools.

Verified in the current material
- OneDollarStock is a live Shopify marketplace designed and implemented by DGBA Studio.
- Its catalog has categories, collections, search, single purchases, and Lifetime PRO for qualifying assets.
- The storefront and conversion modules form a custom responsive Shopify/Liquid layer.
Not yet evidenced
- A point-in-time Lighthouse result cannot predict future performance. No client conversion, time, or cost outcomes were supplied.
- Price, library size, plan scope, and licenses vary. Planned creative tools remain roadmap items.
